Når du skal behandle din hund eller kat med Advantage loppemiddel, er det vigtigt, at du vejer dit dyr, så du kan vælge den rigtige størrelse pipette. Advantage findes i flere forskellige størrelser pipetter. Advantage Loppemiddel er let at bruge. Det skal påføres direkte på huden i nakken på din hund eller din kat. Advantage Loppemiddel virker fra den første dag og effekten varer i op til 4 uger. Husk at være opmærksom på den videre forebyggende behandling, så du undgår at din hund eller kat rammes af loppeangreb igen.

Kan Advantage loppemiddel hurtigt fjerne lopper på min hund eller min kat?

Når du har skilt hårene i pelsen på din hund eller din kat og har dryppet væsken ned på huden fordeler væsken sig på hudoverfladen. Med det samme, lopperne kommer i kontakt med det aktive stof dør de – uden at bide først. Advantage er hurtigtvirkende og kort tid efter, du har påbegyndt behandlingen, begynder lopperne at dø og dermed at drysse af din hund eller din kat. Advantage er effektivt, selv efter en tur i vandet eller en regnvejrsdag i skoven. Alle lopperne, på din hund eller din kat vil indenfor et døgn, være dræbte og hopper der nye lopper på din hund eller kat, vil de ligeledes dræbes, inden de når at lægge æg. Hermed er loppens livscyklus brudt og det vil ikke være muligt for nye lopper at etablere sig på din hund eller din kat eller i dit hjem, da Advantage loppemiddel har en langvarig virkning.

Virker Advantage også på loppelarver?

Det har vist sig, at Advantage har den fordel, at det også bekæmper loppelarver i omgivelserne. Når loppelarverne aktivt opsøger og spiser de hudskæl, der drysser fra din hund eller din kats pels ud i omgivelserne, får loppelarverne også Advantage i sig og dør, inden de når at blive til voksne lopper. Således beskytter Advantage din hund og din kat mod lopper og de beskytter selv på grund af effekten i omgivelserne. Det betyder, at disse egenskaber ved Advantage har en både hurtig virkning på de voksne lopper og også er med til at forebygge nye loppeangreb. Advantage vet beskytter din hund mod lopper. Når din hund færdes i naturen, er den mere udsat for parasitangreb, derfor er det vigtigt, at du behandler din hund med Advantage vet. Er din hund ikke behandlet med Advantage vet til hund, kan den blive angrebet af lopper. Det kan give dit kæledyr gener som kløe, loppeallergi, bændelorm, hårtab og hudbetændelse. En styrke ved Advantage vet til hunde er, at den kan bruges forebyggende, altså allerede inden din hund bliver angrebet af lopper. Advantage vet til hunde går ind og bryder loppens livscyklus. Både de voksne lopper på hunden og loppelarverne i omgivelserne bliver dræbt af Advantage vet til hunde. Da loppemidlet går ind og bryder loppens livscykler både på voksenstadiet og på larvestadiet, bliver risikoen for loppeproblemer i fremtiden reduceret. Advantage vet til hunde er udviklet til at være enkelt for dig at bruge.

Sådan gør du

Når du behandler din hund med loppemidlet, er det vigtigt, at væsken kommer helt ned på huden og ikke bliver hængende i pelsen. Det kan du gøre ved at dele hundens pels med fingrene og dryppe væsken direkte ned på den blotlagte hud. Loppemidlet fordeler sig jævnt over hele hunden gennem hudens fedtlag.

Dette loppemiddel er udviklet med sikkerheden i top. Advantage indeholder et stof, der hedder imidaclorid, som rammer bestemte dele i loppens nervesystem. Hos varmblodede dyr, som vores kæledyr og hos mennesker, er disse områder anderledes, og stoffet er derfor ikke farligt. Du kan derfor trygt benytte loppemidlet til din hund i kampen mod lopperne.

Advantage ® til hunde

Kløe er det mest fremtrædende symptom på en loppeinfestation hos hunde. Kløen kan få hunden til at slikke eller gnave på huden, hvilket kan resultere i hårtab og i akut fugtig hudbetændelse. Lopper er mest udbredt på lænd og ved halerod, og hvis du kæmmer din hund, kan du finde lopper eller loppeekskrementer.

Husk at behandle alle husstandens hunde og katte. Ubehandlede dyr kan bringe nye lopper indenfor, og så vil problemet fortsætte. Hvis du behandler din hund regelmæssigt, vil du for det meste helt kunne undgå, at den får lopper.

Sådan gør du

Når du behandler din hund med Advantage ® skal den stå op under påføring. Du drypper Advantage ® direkte på hundens hud 1-4 steder fra skuldeblad til halerod afhængig af hundens størrelse

Del hundens pels med fingrene, så huden bliver synlig. Dråberne fordeles fra nakke til halerod.

Sæt spidsen af pipetten på den synlige hud og tryk indholdet ud på huden. Vask hænderne efter brug.

For at Advantage ® skal virke effektivt, er det vigtigt, at væsken kommer i direkte kontakt med huden og ikke i pelsen. Væsken fordeler sig selv jævnt over hele hundens overflade

Advantage loppemidler til hunde og katte sørger for at lopper dræbes indenfor 24 timer. Når du bruger Advantage loppemidler, beskytter du dine kæledyr mod loppeangreb i op til 4 uger. Advantage loppemidler kan bruges til hunde og katte over 8 uger. Kan også anvendes ved loppeangreb på drægtige og diegivende dyr. Vi gør opmærksom på, at loppemidler ikke tages retur og ikke kan byttes ved fortrydelse eller fejlkøb, da disse i så fald skal destrueres, da de ikke må videresælges igen.

Lopper på kat og hund

Lopper er en blodsugende parasit, som lever på vores kæledyr. Et loppebid klør meget og er til stor gene for værtsdyret. Alle dyr, som kommer udenfor, vil med stor sandsynlighed få lopper før eller siden. Loppeæg udklækkes i løbet af få sekunder, når loppen inden i kan fornemme varmen og vibrationerne fra en kat eller hund i dens nærhed. Den voksne loppe lever på værtsdyret i op til en måned. Lopper kan desuden være inficeret med bændelorm og derfor er det nødvendigt for katten eller hundens trivsel, at du behandler dem både mod voksne lopper men også mod loppeæg og loppelarver.

Hvornår skal du benytte et loppemiddel?

Da en hunloppe hver dag lægger omkring 10-25 æg, som tager en lille uge at klække, kan der hurtigt komme en stor loppekoloni i dine omgivelser. Så snart katten eller hunden begynder at klø og bide sig, bør du tjekke efter for loppebid. Loppen bider ofte sin vært ved haleroden men kan findes over alt på kroppen. Loppens æg er små hvide perler, mens loppens ekskrementer er små sorte kugler. Loppesæson i Danmark er hele året. Dette skyldes, at vores kæledyr bor indenfor, hvor der eksisterer optimale forhold for loppen i alle dens livsstadier.

Brug af Advantage

Advantage er kun til udvortes brug. Loppemidlet må ikke spises eller hældes ind i dyrets mund. Advantage påføres ved at åbne pipetten og dryppe væsken ned direkte på dyrets hud. Anbring væsken i nakken ved den nederste del af kraniet. Dette gør det umuligt for dit kæledyr at slikke loppemidlet væk. Behandlinger med Advantage skal gentages mindst hver 4. uge alt efter, hvor kraftig loppeangrebet er. Fortsæt med at bruge Advantage efter de voksne lopper er døde, da loppemidlet virker forebyggende på nye angreb og dermed afholder dit kæledyr fra at fungere som værtsdyr for nye lopper. Hvis du er i tvivl om, hvor ofte du skal behandle dit kæledyr, så snak med din dyrlæge.

Det er yderst vigtigt, at du kun behandler katte med loppemidler, som er lavet til katte. Hvert år dør flere katte, da de har fået loppemiddel til hunde. Et loppemiddel til hunde er alt for kraftigt og forgifter din kat.

Glem ikke sofaen

En del af behandlingen er naturligvis, at du sikrer katten og hunden gennem et loppemiddel direkte på huden. Den anden og lige så vigtig del af behandlingen af et loppeangreb er rengøring af dyrets omgivelser. Loppeæg falder nemt af værtsdyret og triller ned i sprækker i sofaer eller gulv. Du skal støvsuge godt over alt, hvor dit kæledyr opholder sig. Vask alt, hvad der kan vaskes. Det anbefales at vaske tekstiler ved 60 grader, så loppeæg og -larver dør. Du skal huske at behandle alle kæledyrene i huset på samme tid, som du laver den grundige rengøring.

Advantage er det stærkeste middel mod lopper

Mange loppemidler virker kun på voksne lopper. Advantage dræber både voksne lopper og loppelarver. Loppelarverne gemmer sig på mørke steder i de to uger loppen er på larvestadiet. Larverne lever af snavs og andet organisk materiale, som de kan finde.

Når du har tømt pipetten i nakken på din kat eller hund, så trænger det virksomme middel ind og spreder sig i dyrets hud. Det betyder, at de behandlede hudceller, som falder af også vil dræbe loppelarver, som spiser disse. Dermed rammer Advantage effektivt på to stadier af loppens liv. Advantage er ufarlig for dine dyr og går ikke i blodet på dem men lægger i det lipide lag.

Det er meget vigtigt, at du ikke anvender Advantage på diende hvalpe og killinger under 8 uger.

Bonus ved Advantage til hunde

Ikke alene er Advantage til hunde meget effektivt mod lopper og loppelarver, men det virker også på pelslus. Pelslus smitter fra hund til hund og giver sig til udtryk i kraftig og konstant kløe. Ofte kan hunde bide og kradse sig selv til blods ved kraftige luseangreb. I sådanne tilfælde skal du straks gribe ind.

Ved behandling med Advantage, skal du væge den variant, som passer til din hunds vægt. Ved hunde under 25 kilo er det nok at putte Advantage direkte på huden i nakken ved kraniets begyndelse. Hunde med en kampvægt på over 25 kilo kan med fordel få Advantage dryppet i huden fire steder fra nakken til haleroden. Lad den store hund stå op under behandlingen.

Vær særlig opmærksom på disse forhold

Advantage forbliver i dyrets hud, hvis det opholder sig i regnvejr. Hvis din hund tager en svømmetur efter at være behandlet med Advantage, vil det blive nødvendigt at genbehandle. Der skal dog være minimum en uge mellem hver genbehandling af din hund.

Der kan forekomme lettere bivirkninger ved dyret, som er uskadelige, men kan se voldsomme ud. Hunden eller katten kan savle grundet en øget spytproduktion, hvis de kommer til at slikke sig på påføringsstedet. I sjældne tilfælde kan dyret savle voldsomt og ryste. Hvis du bliver nervøs for dit kæledyrs helbred efter påføring af Advantage, anbefaler vi dig straks at kontakte en dyrlæge.

Sørg for at andre dyr ikke slikker andre behandlede dyr i den første tid, efter de har fået Advantage.

Husk altid at vaske hænder direkte efter brug af Advantage, så du undgår risikoen for at indtage spor af både det virksomme stof og opløsningsmidlet.

Advantage indeholder et opløsningsmiddel som kan efterlade pletter på tekstiler og produkter med behandlede overflader, som læder og plastik. Derfor er det en god idé at lade Advantage tørre helt ind, inden din hund eller kat kommer i kontakt med disse materialer.

Double-hung windows are the most common type of window in the U.S. They have a traditional appearance and operate by sliding up and down. Dividers, called muntins, either divide individual panes of glass or they snap on for decorative purposes. Spring-mounted operating mechanisms are the newest style of double-hung windows. Easy operation and a traditional style are just two of the advantages of double-hung windows.

The advantages of double-hung windows are:

• Versatility. Double-hung windows are compatible with most home styles and they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and stock colors. The choice of material for double-hung windows includes aluminum, fiberglass, wood, and vinyl.
• Air conditioner and screen friendly. Unlike casement windows, double-hung windows can accept air conditioners and screens. Because they slide up and down instead of cranking out or sliding to the side, they can hold AC units safely and screens can be added and removed when necessary.
• Easy to clean. Newer double hung windows have tilt-out upper and lower sashes (the part of the window that holds the glass). This makes the windows easier to clean. Many manufacturers also offer windows with removable sashes for even easier cleaning.
• Energy efficiency. Although precise measurements are required to minimize moisture and air leaks, high quality double hung windows have the option of quadruple weatherstripping. This feature prevents heat from escaping and cold air from entering, eliminating the need to adjust the thermostat up.

The disadvantages of double-hung windows are:

• Not as airtight as other windows. Double hung windows have the option of quadruple weatherstripping, but without it, they’re not as airtight as other windows, such as casement windows or fixed windows. Fortunately, modern double hung windows are better constructed than old windows, so replacement windows will eliminate the issues owners of older homes may have with their original windows.
• Limited ventilation. Double hung windows work by sliding the bottom sash up or the top sash down. This means, only half of the window may remain open at one time.
