Sau drepen av hund.. ?

Her er dommarens kommentar:

Flått i Jostedalen i 2012 ?

Wachtelhundtreffet 2012 på NJFFs Jakt og Fiskesenter i Flå, 16. – 18. juni

(Foto: Wachtelhundklubben)

! Også fugl (rype, and).

Laurdag: Demonstrasjon av tvangsapport. Veldig bra demonstrasjon!

Veldig bra!

Søndag: «Wire-Bjørn» mentaltest med fokus på bjørn. Sjølv om Ulva (langtfrå) vart godkjend, fekk eg her ei fin innføring i korleis hunden sannsynlegvis vil oppføra seg viss me ein gong møter ein bjørn i skogen.

For ein «nykomling» i miljøet, vil eg berre seia at eg følte meg godt motteken.

Sie gehen also beim Kochen großteils verloren.

Chocolate Cookie Cake – German Cake Kalter Hund

The chocolate cookie cake or "Kalter Hund - Kalte Schnauze" or "Zebra Cake" used to be the brithday cake of mine and I am sure of many other children.

This chocolate cookie cake is rich and creamy, and pure chocolate. It is a delightful combination of chocolate and butter cookies (you must use the ones from Leibniz). And you don't even bake it, as the cake will be kept in the fridge for some hours. Other names for this cake are "Zebra Cake" or "Cookie Cake". Some call it "Cold Snout" because it is kept in the fridge for hours before served, so it is very cold, like the dogs snout.

In Germany we are using the famous cooking oil Palmin. It is not available in the USA but you can use any coconut oil that is neutral in taste. This is important. It needs to be refined coconut oil without the typical coconut taste. The following recipe is the original recipe from a 1960 cookbook! Happy Baking!

Ingredients Chocolate Cookie Cake

125g powdered sugar

100g cocoa powder (unsweetened)

300 g coconut oil

1 tbsp rum or rum flavor

35-50 butter cookies from Bahlsen or Leibniz ( see below), 2 packages

Cooking Instructions Chocolate Cookie Cake

- Melt coconut oil , let cool off a bit by removing it from stove.

- Combine it with powdered sugar, cocoa, rum and eggs.

- Mix until you get a smooth cream.

- Layer a pound cake form with plastic foil. Place sthin layer of the cream on the bottom.

- Alternating place a layer of cookies and chocolate on top. The final layer should be chocolate.

- Place the form in the fridge and keep it there for 2-3 hours, the cake needs to be very firm.

- Before you serve turn the form and carefully move the cake out of the form; remove parchment paper.

- Keep the cake chilled until it is served.

Fix the parchment paper with tape on the outside of the pan.

You can keep this cake in the fridge, wrap it with aluminum foil.

You can make this cake days before, just keep it cool before serving.

A Happy Birthday Dog

Today is my dog’s birthday and I thought I do something special and make my own doggie treats! Liver sausage biscuits or in German: Leberwurstkekse! 🙂

So here is what every dog owner needs:

200 g of oat flakes

150 g of cottage cheese or grainy cream cheese

125 g of liver sausage

1 tablespoon oil

Knead the ingredients and form little walnut-sized balls. Put them on a baking tray with baking parchment and press them a bit onto the tray. Now put them in the oven (ca 180°C, 20-30 minutes).

200 g Haferflocken

150 g Hüttenkäse oder körniger Frischkäse

125 g Leberwurst

They really smell horrible, usually a very good sign that Paul thinks they are delicious 😉 And he loves them!

Posta under Hund

Vil du vita endå meir, les her.

Ho er frå Tyft – Tanumshede, like sør for Strømstad.

Utelukkar Jostedalen, sameleis Balestrand der det er mest like mykje snø som her. Men me hadde ein skogstur i skogane på Kaupanger.

Put on the computer what the public asks for, not everything about the US.

I asked for a total medal count. I have been looking for 20 minutes and still cannot find it.

I also asked for a specific medal count for a specific country and got a history of when they first started to compete in the Olympics. I asked for a medal count for 2018, as of today,

not a history of that country.

You don't even accept what I have asked.

    German Kalter Hund Recipe

The only thing I can remember is that it is made with a lot of chocolate and tea biscuits, normally in a loaf fashion. The tea biscuits are layered in the chocolate and then left to harden. My mother used to make it, as well as her mother, but they have bother long passed. Please someone tell me you've got the recipe!

The vanilla sugar is by the company called Dr. Oetke and can be found at most grocery stores or in delicatessens. You can also make your own by placing a few vanilla pods is an air tight container filled with sugar. You need to let it rest for atleast a month for the falvour to infuse the sugar.

You might know it as cocoa butter. It is a naturally occurring fat found in cocoa beans and is sold as a solid bar.

Vanilla sugar is basically sugar with vanilla infused in it. In Germany we can buy it in packets or you can make your own. Hope you enjoy the recipe. Best wishes, Sarah

Just a note - Oma made an adult version using rum, which of course, we kids tried to sneak slices of.

My father who is 90 years old, has spoken many times of a dessert that his mother(Oma)used to make with butter cookies, chocolate and canned condensed milk. He tried explaining it to me but I could never find anything similar until I came across this one, what a stroke of luck.

We are having our Sunday afternoon kaffe und kuchen this week, this is still a ritual with our family, and I will make it for him. I'm sure that it will bring back memories for him.

I will continue to look for more lost recipes and try as many as possible.

(Cold nose). A no bake easy cake that must be left to cool afterwards and possibly made the day before you need it.
